THE DESIGNER Alycia Gränacher
I am Alycia Gréna, 20 years old, a Fashiondesignstudent from switzerland and currently studying fashion design at STF (Swiss Textile School) in Winterthur. From a very young age, I have been fascinated by fabrics, colors, and the sewing machine. A very memorable moment in my Life was as a five years old creative child telling my mother, “Mom, I will become a fashion designer one day.”
Even during school, I would create or alter pieces of my own clothing. Later, during my three years of studies as a living textile designer, I continued to design and sew clothes for myself.
Since the summer of 2024, I have been fully dedicating myself to my own designs.
What's my part in FASHION
I want to create pieces that carrie meaning and tell stories. My designs are meant to transport people into another world and show that fashion can be a statement, an opinion, and a way to be who you truly feel you are, beyond the idealized images of today’s society.
THE INSPIRATION for my Designs
I always find it fascinating to see how everyday experiences and moments flow into creative work. Just in a city, we encounter countless people, each carrying their own experiences. Even if it's not always visible from the outside, it's exactly what shapes us.
For me, fashion should be just as personal as our own stories. My greatest inspiration comes from the moments in life that show me who I am and what truly makes me myself.
